'I've often been called shallow. I don't like to think of myself as such, most people wouldn't, but as I've gone through life day by day, I've come to realize that they might be right. Money and jewelry are my life. I don't have the time or care to deal with other people. I've never had nor wanted any friends, I was always much too busy trying to get my hands on anything valuable. Love was always the last thing on my mind. Who needs love when you have something valuable? I've never wanted love, never wanted friends, never wanted any kind of human attention or affection...
Who knew such a shallow, selfish, conceded little bastard would fall so hard for another guy... ?'

Aeron walked silently down the dark street, not paying attention to anything but the path in front of his feet. He wandered along in melancholy, not caring where he was going. He had no belongings and no where to go, he was just wandering, alone, in a big city full of unfriendly and unforgiving people. Except for tonight. Tonight, the street was near empty, save the few random homeless and gangs, but he hardly noticed. He was lost in thought.
The purple haired boy wandered for several blocks, completely lost by now, but that fact went unnoticed. It wasn't until something small and shiny near an alley caught his attention that he stopped and came back to reality. He bent down and picked up the object to examine it.
It was a gold banded diamond ring.
He bit his lip to keep from squealing in delight. Rings were his single most favorite things in the world. He quickly found a finger it fit and slipped it on, carefully looking it over on his hand. As he tilted his head, another something shiny caught his attention. Going further into the alley, he picked up what turned out to be another ring. Ruby. He slipped this one on a finger as well to begin studying it.
For the third time, another glimmer snagged his vision further in the alley. Forgetting about the two previous rings on his fingers, he went to the next one.
It wasn't until the fifth ring that it hit him like a ton of bricks that there was NO WAY this was just a coincidence. He quickly stood, and realized that he was now deep in the alley and he didn't know where he'd come from. Panic began to sink in.
"I hate to sound cliche but... come with me if you want to live."
Aeron gasped and spun around. There was a boy, about his age it seemed, standing in the shadows. He couldn't make out much, just enough to know the other was taller, wearing a dark cloak, had ice blue hair, and was smirking.
"Who're you?!" Aeron glared harshly, making the other chuckle. "That's not important. I've been following you for awhile and couldn't help but notice how many rings you're wearing." At that, Aeron couldn't help but glance at his hands, which had at least one ring on every finger. "I decided to see if I could get your attention, so I set a little trail for you. I have to admit though, I really didn't think you'd be so interested that you'd follow this far."
"Fuck you!" The purple eyed boy spat. "What the fuck do you want?!"
"Nothing." The other replied coolly. "I just thought I'd help."
"Help?!"
The ice blue haired male gestured with his head behind Aeron. "I wasn't the only one following you."
Aeron turned and noticed a few guys, very large in stature, further down the alley. They seemed to be looking for something...
"So, you can either stay here and be raped, run and be raped, or come with me and be safe. I'll let you choose, but you better pick fast. I think they see you."
Sure enough, one of the brawny men locked eyes with Aeron. He stiffened and turned back to the other, who was quickly walking off. "W-wait!" He began to sprint to catch up with the boy. He faintly heard the men behind him yelling something at him, but he ignored it and ran faster to catch up with icy blue hair that was now running quickly through the alleys.
Within minutes, Aeron lost track of the other. He rounded a corner he hoped the other boy had, and was suddenly grabbed and jerked behind a curtain. He was going to yell, but a hand was placed over his mouth and his back was against a strong chest. "Shh!" A voice commanded. The purple fanatic stood rigid against the ice haired boy as voices came into hearing range.
"Where'd he go?"
"I know he came this way!"
"Isn't this Noah's territory?"
The ice haired boy cursed under his breath. He gently began to move himself and the purple haired boy down a flight of stairs. "Stay quiet, okay?" He whispered. Aeron nodded and the other removed his hand from the boy's mouth. They were halfway down when the curtain was suddenly yanked back. "Noah!" A large black boy yelled down.
"Shit..." The ice haired boy mumbled. He turned around and put on his most charming smile. "Hello Mikey."
"Have you seen a lil' purple dude?"
"Have you had your eyes checked recently?"
Mikey growled and glared at him. "I mean have you seen a boy with purple hair and t-shirt."
Aeron stayed absolutely quiet. It had dawned on him moments ago that the ice haired boy was between him and the larger boy in such a way that he couldn't see him. So, he held his breath and stayed perfectly still aswell, he had no desire to be seen.
"I thought I saw someone heading north out of the alley and toward the street, but I don't know if it was your kid."
"Aight. Thanks, Noah." Mikey nodded and left.
The ice haired boy let out a sigh of relief, silently thanking all the Gods and Goddess's he could think of that he had never picked a fight with anyone with a ten mile raduis. He turned back to the purple boy. "Come on." He lightly pushed the small of his back to get him moving again.
